The level of outfit formality often depends on the job you're going for, but as a general rule of thumb it's always wise to opt for a look that's too smart rather than on the cusp of being too casual.
How does the Smart Works process work? Kate explained the charity’s processes. “We give each woman a complete outfit of clothes and accessories (chosen by her and hers to keep) and one-to-one coaching to reconnect her to her potential. There’s this magic moment when our clients look in the dressing-room mirror, smile and think: ‘I can do this’. That moment is the golden thread that runs through our charity and I believe how everyone should feel before an interview.”
If you want to support the charity, Smart Works are running a pop-up boutique full of amazing pre-loved designer finds at Bicester Village until 21st April, with 100% of proceeds from sales going straight to the charity. Find out more here.
And whether you're interviewing for a corporate job in the City or a more creative company based in a cool basement office, we've got you covered.
