The Riveras Are Serving Pure Realness on Their New Reality Show

It's been almost four years since singer Jenni Rivera died in a tragic plane crash in December 2012. Her five children were left to pick up the pieces and continue their mother's legacy. The "Diva de la Banda" had her I Love Jenni reality show which was filming its third season during her untimely death. The children finished filming the season and said goodbye to reality TV for the time being.

But once 2016 rolled around, the family felt that they had enough time to heal privately and fans wanted to see them back on the small screen. "The audience kept asking and we had said that after the third season of I love Jenni we were pretty much done with it because that show isn't I Love Jenni without my mom. And everyone would always ask when we were coming back, but I think we needed that break," Chiquis Rivera, Jenni's oldest daughter, explained to E! News. "We needed to go through the motions and the healing process. Then they offered it, and then I sat with our production company Blank Paige, and we came up with the idea. So I said, 'OK, but I want to be an executive producer because I want to make sure that we're all protected and so that we can be as open as we are.'"
