  • You can easily find your Cash App routing number if you already have a Cash Card associated with your Cash App account.
  • You can treat your Cash App balance like a bank account, and have your paychecks directly deposited to your account.
  • If you want to do this, you'll need to find your account and routing numbers, located within the app, and give them to your employer.
  • Visit Business Insider's homepage for more details.

The Cash App, by Square, is a peer-to-peer payment app, like Venmo, that allows you to pay friends and family directly, without having to exchange cash or even be in the same place. It also allows you to keep track of who owes you money and what for.

While the app was originally created for this simple purpose, it has since expanded, and allowed you to do things like get a Cash App debit card so you can treat your Cash App balance the same way you would treat your checking account balance.

Taking this capability even further, it is now possible to treat your Cash App like a checking account, by having your paycheck directly deposited into it. You can do this by finding your routing and account numbers associated with your account, and giving them to your employer.

Note that you can only do this if you've already ordered a Cash Card from the app. If you have not yet done that, you will not have a routing number attached to your account.
