Just when you thought the world was all out of good news for this week, Holly Willoughby-approved Finery London has come along and dropped a major (and v. welcome) cherry on top of the cake. Yep: the brand has relaunched at M&S with a collection of summer dresses and separates which are just screaming to be worn in the park this summer.
With the news that outdoor gatherings are soon to be back ON, many of us have been left wondering what the hell we'll wear. And this limited edition collection provides the ultimate answer. Made up of 20 beautiful pieces (and with prices starting from a surprisingly accessible £29), the timing could literally not be better.
Every piece is splashed in vibrant print or mood-boosting colour (polka dots/ditsy florals/animal print) and cut from luxe fabrics - plus, the silhouettes are universally flattering. We're talking high-waisted seams, figure-hugging wrap dresses, ruffle high necks for post-lockdown glamour and, of course, plenty of puffed-sleeves. Finery, we thank you.
As well as this high-neck ruffle tea dress which we're definitely wearing on our first date night - and this office-appropriate pleated green midi skirt - there's one dress which really caught out eye: a floaty blue floral dress. Why? It looks just like the one Kate Middleton wore for her 2019 family Christmas card snap and again on a Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week Zoom in May 2020. (The original was from Boden and cost £60 - so at £49, this dupe is a total steal).
The collection marks the relaunch of British label Finery London, which was acquired by Dragons' Den's Touker Suleyman back in 2017. All Finery garments and prints are now produced in Touker's Turkey-based Low Profile Group Factories - to allow for greater transparency.
