Argentine actor Enzo Viena of hit TV series like “Nino” died Nov. 25 in Buenos Aires of injuries sustained in a car crash. He was 74.
He had been in a coma and on an artificial respirator since the August 31 crash on a highway.
The native of Rosario, Santa Fe began his career in his teens, performing in a circus and then on stage as part of the repertoire group Teatro de Arte and on a legit tour in Latin America.
His move to the big scene came in the late 1950s when helmer-thesp Hugo del Carril of “Las aguas bajan turbias” (River of Blood) selected him from a casting of 10,000 to star in “Una cita con la vida” (A Date with Life). He went on to land parts in films like romantic comedy “El derecho a la felicidad” (The Right to Happiness), “He nacido en Buenos Aires” (I Was Born in Buenos Aires) and “La sentencia” (The Sentence).

Viena also worked in Peru in series like “Mil oficios” and “La novia era el.”
His final performances were in 2002, in the telenovela “Maridos a domicilio” and police series “Contrafuego.”
